NCDE responds to HMIC Report
NCDE response to the report by Her Majesty's Chief Inspectorate of Constabulary, Adapting to protest - nurturing the British model of policing:
ACC Anton Setchell, National Co-ordinator Domestic Extremism said:
"We welcome today's report 'Adapting to protest - nurturing the British model of policing' from Her Majesty's Chief Inspectorate of Constabulary.
"Ensuring the facilitation of peaceful and lawful protest, while balancing the human rights of everyone involved, has always been our aim. To this end, we work closely with police forces across the UK to reduce, and where possible, remove the threat of criminality and public disorder associated with a small minority of domestic extremists.
"We look forward to working closely with ACPO, the Home Office and HMIC, on the recommendations today's report proposes."
