Six people charged in Operation Achilles

Police have today charged a further six people during the latest stage of an ongoing operation to disrupt animal rights extremism across the UK.

Operation Achilles is a regional police operation involving Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Thames Valley and Hampshire police.

Thomas Harris, aged 24 of Alver Road, Gosport, Hampshire; Nicola Tapping, aged 26 of Alver Road, Gosport and Sarah Whitehead aged 51 of Thorncroft Road, Littlehampton, are all charged with conspiracy to blackmail Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Jason Mullan, aged 29 of Yerbury Road, London; Janet Lawrence, aged 53 of Bowater Gardens, Sunbury-upon-Thames and Nicole Vosper, aged 20 of Bayview Terrace, Newquay, are also charged with conspiracy to backmail Huntingdon Life Sciences.

All six will appear before Aldershot magistrates' court, Hampshire, on Thursday, March 27.
